France Camp = Verrrrrrry Niiiiiice

The KMS Women's Alpine Team embarked on Les Deux Alpes, France for two weeks of intensive glacial training in the month of July. This became our home mountain for fifteen miraculous days of technical work.

We learned to ride T-bars. Sort of. Some of us (like Ali, maybe?!) even did amazing tricks on the T-bars which may or may not have led to important pieces of equipment being temporarily lost or displaced.

Lon imparted his words of widsom on the team when we weren't busy eating Haribo gummi bears at the top of the lane.

A trip to the Venosc Adventure Parc provided an entertaining, total body workout prior to our second day off snow.

The ladies pose with Clarke the Travel Shark in front of fabulous Hotel Le Souleil Or. We will miss Alex, Nicholai, and all the wonderful croissants.

In all seriousness, our summer training camp in Les Deux Alpes proved to be crucial in the development of those athletes who attended. We accomplished more on-snow in fifteen days than many athletes and teams accomplish in an entire preparation period. Now it's time to hit the dryland extra hard so that we do not lose any athletic gains already made and so that we better condition ourselves for development at the next on-snow camp.

I had an awesome time getting to know Lon, Danielle, Ali, Kristie, and reuniting with Kelly.

See y'all at August Dryland Camp. Boo-ra-ra!
