We had a productive first day here in Mammoth. After a little extra sleep this morning that girls got up and had a few free runs to get back on their feet after the travel day.
Then we got started with a 15 turn brush apex slalom course to work on turn shape and to help bring some of the drills into a course environment. We had a productive session with everyone skiing well and making improvements.
Before study hall we managed to sneak in an extra hour in the afternoon to start getting used to GS skis. We only got about 6 runs but they all looked considerably more comfortable by the last run.
Tomorrow we are planning to work on some free skiing fundamentals and then move into a GS apex course in the afternoon.
